Re: 5Diii & bigma

Well, all these big Sigma lenses (like the Bigmos 150-500) do work at 500mm even with the Canon 400D.

Hi all, after a few years away from photography, I have decided to get back into it, and am torn between the D800 and the 5Diii, leaning towards the 5D because I prefer ergonomics and lens availability.

My main area is landscape, and I will get some proper lenses for that, however, I also need an "allrounder". Since I am often limited in how much gear I can take, and have had some good experiences with the bigma, I was considering it when I know I'll mainly do snapshots.

However, since it is f4,5-6,3, I am wondering if the AF will work on the long end? Or will it just stop working when I get to 250mm  (f6,3)?
Any help would be much appreciated.
