In my area of the UK pro wedding photographers must be getting less work.

I'm an amateur photographing mostly landscapes around here. Yet I was recently asked to photograph a neighbour's wedding, despite my protestations that I know very little about wedding photography.

It turns out that the other enthusiastic amateur round here, a wild-life photographer, has shot several other local weddings.

My couple was happy with the informal photos I took, and I enjoyed the experience and recovered print costs. Not that I'm keen to do more, but I bet I get asked.

Digital photography has made all this possible.
