Re: IR Image. Converted Nikon d200. Please C&C

I like the image and I find you lucky to have places like that to shoot. It's the ideal subject for infrared. I find the sharpness slightly overdone and I'd prefer the castle to have more detail in the shadow areas because after all, it's the highlight of the picture. I realize that the sky would probably be overexposed though. Perhaps a +0.3 or +0.7 bracketing would have given the castle a lift without blowing up the clouds too much ?

Hi all,

I recently had an old D200 converted to Infrared 830nm filter.

The location is an old abandoned gate house and bridge near Lismore town in County Waterford Ireand.

The structure was built in the 1850's by a local landlord as part of an ambitious project to build the largest Mansion House in the area to please his wife.

Money ran out after the completion of the gatehouse and bridge and the mansion house itself was never built.

The image was taken using a cinverted Nikon D200 and Nikon 17-55mm lens.
All C&C and feedback is welcome.

Thank you,
