pulled the trigger on the pro x 1
Bought the pro x 1 and the 18mm and 35 mm lens today
there is a rebate where if you buy the camera and lens you get $300
I live in Chicago called Helix in the AM said they had two in stock unopened
by the time I got there later in the afternoon they had sold both.
Went to Calumet they had one in stock and picked it up.
I have only had a little time to play with it, so far very impressed!!
Has brought back the joy of photography! Size is so important!
I also have a Canon 1d Mark IV which is amazing camera especially for what I use
it for the most which is filming Border Collies Herding sheep which is extremely fast action.
The fuji can not compete with the frame rate or focus speed of the canon it can compete in the image quality department.
it seems like it will be an amazing second camera for more portrait and scenery
shoots which I never do anymore since who wants to carry around tons of equipment.
I may even find that the Canon becomes the number 2 camera to be used when I have action to shoot.
I learned photography in my childhood days using a pentax rangefinder. There is a certain magic of a slower autofocus and fixed focal length lenses that ignites the creativity, the format lends itself to composition.
