With full moon shots it is always a fine line between over and under exposed. The moon has a lot of dark areas as well as a lot of very light areas. It is tricky to find the right exposure that accentuates both light and dark areas and still brings out detail. If the large crater near the bottom of the moon gets washed out by light, then the photo is definitely overexposed. I think this image is about right though. If I had used a good 400mm prime I would have had much more detail to work with. This inexpensive zoom produced a somewhat washed out image, so exposure was more difficult to get correct.
