T1i v T2i v T3i - help with decision...

So I am getting back into digital photography again. I have a Canon G12 that I love using, and feel that I am ready to get back into owning a dSLR. When I say back to owning one - my ex husband and I had a Nikon D40x that he got in the divorce.

That being said - I'm now looking at my options. I am really thinking I want to go Canon this time around, as I am basically going to be starting my system from scratch. I also have a broken Canon G9 that I would like to trade into Canon using their loyalty program so it brings down the cost considerably.

Here is what I'm trying to figure out. I am still a relative beginner when it comes to photography. I have the basics of composition down, but I am still learning the manual features of my camera. However, I miss the responsiveness of the dSLR, and also know that as I continue to expand my learning I am soon going to want to be able to take pictures that are more creative and artistic.

I can get the T3i with lens kit from Canon for $512. I can get the T2i with lens kit from Canon for $448. And the T1i with lens kit for $384. I have done my research - am I correct in my assessment that the only main difference between the T3i and T2i is the swivel screen on the T3i? Is that worth the extra $65? I also know that I am going to want to get some additional glass, but am hoping to slowly build my collection over time.

So - do I get the T3i, the T2i, or the T1i?

Thank you in advance, hive mind, for your expertise and advice!
