Did DPR's RX100 review miss something cool?

While I've been waiting for Aperture RAW handling, I've been playing with some of the extensive JPEG settings available. In taking a look at DPR's review, it seems to have missed a really cool feature if you're using any of the Auto modes.

Press the downbutton on the control ring, and you will get five options to adjust the JPEG output. These are: Background defocus, Brightness, Color, Picture effect and Vividness. I don't think I've ever seen a compact that gives you this level of control over your automatic settings.

I didn't see this in DPR's review, or did I miss it somewhere?
