Only difference is contrast, and should be

settings to separate these cameras re IQ. I see a little more contrast for the Sony, which gives a little more tonal gradation to the Nikon.

The sensor being the same size, with good quality lenses, results should be very close. Fans from both sides would love to come with hyperbolic comments, but, as you show, there is basically no difference. One should choose the camera/system because of other aspects. Is AF as good (V1's is great)? Are controls good (V1's not that good)? Is having the possibility of using various lenses, including from other systems, a plus? Is size an issue (either way)? Etc.

Brand should not play a role in rational decisions (but I know buying gadgets is one of the least rational activities that humans perform).
