Photozone's lens testing methods?

I am in the market for Sony's 50mm 1.8E lens for the NEX. For laughs I went to Photozone to look at the review and something just doesn't make sense regarding their test results.

E.G.

Sony 50 2.8 macro tests at about 2280 lines in the center as its best aperture.
Nikon 60 2.8 macro tests at about 3825 at the center as its best aperture.

How is this possible that one lens out resolves another similar lens by MORE than 50%??? Something sounds very fishy about these results.

Both lenses got great write ups btw.
