FZ200 out for a walk today...

@jcmarfilph : Did you take the original photos when you did your crop? When i compare you samples and the original photos, your samples look like crap but originals are still fantastics. Maybe you did something wrong.
Joms is a bit jealous that his Fuji is lagging behind folks...NOTICE the crop is from extreme right out of focus plane and I had the camera set too sharp and too little NR also THAT part of the bird was in the SHADE...lol...so once we figure these FZ200's out we will have a winner for sure...I will post some test of FZ150 and FZ200 today that will make Joms jump and he'll have to start eating his crow while it's fresh...lol...

Nice try Joms we still ain't as dumb as you look...

Great shots! Looks like a great camera,as I thought it would be. Planning on getting one to get the shots that my good 70-300mm 5.6 won't. Don't have $7000...

A jaw dropping set as usual.. Could you please make a few RAW+jpg samples at one point, now with ACR/ LR support, it would be really interesting to see the maximum DR and resolution of the sensor. If I read the manual right, it even has an 11 frame RAW buffer at 12FPS? If true, that's better than many many DSLRs..

Thanks

Even the boke looks really nice, quite unusual for a superzoon :)

LTZ,

Is there a camera that you don't own? You are on practically every forum. You must have quite a collection. Love the shots you posted. You definitely have an eye for photography.

Why would I be jealous to a slow toyzoom cam?
I can take shots way faster with a manual zoom camera.

Intelligent wildlife shooters are not as dumb as you and I can assure you, these images won't pass to the taste of the more experienced birder than me.

I have seen far better images from SX40 and FZ150 than these ones.

Yes, even at 100% view.

What you've shown are just mere ISO-100 shots which failed miserably when there are shadows. How about higher ISO shots? Don't even bother.

Here is one ISO-800 using HS30

BEAUTIFUL PICTURES. LOOK sharp. FZ200 BUT IS REALLY A GREAT CAMERA WITH EXCEPTIONAL IMAGE QUALITY OR NOISE ALSO HAS THE ABOVE AS OF PANASONIC superzooms?

But why would you compare an ISO800/ f5.6 shot to ISO800 on a camera that can go to f2.8?

You get the best out them! I'm very impressed with what you've captured with your Panny! Wonderful pictures.

really impressive images. i really want the EVF to work for me this time around, and the i hear the eye relief has improved over the FZ150's viewfinder. keeping my fingers crossed. having the eye to see is another matter....

Yes the quality of the EVF would determine it for me. The IQ is excellent.

That shot is awful.

Your common sense is crap. Obviously what I am trying to show there is the detail at

ISO-800. Just because it is a new camera, doesn't mean it will always produce good photos. =D

and here is Coley ISO-800 shot
