I did a very brief comparison of RX100 to GRDIII ( http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122130 ) as I bought the RX100 as a present to my friend (wedding). I actually also shot their wedding with the camera before giving it to the happy couple

For the size of the camera the IQ is really good (based on what Steve Huff posted probably better than Nikon V1). The handling is not as good as the GRDIII (what is), but mostly because the LCD on the back side is so large that it leaves little space for the controls. I have ordered the grip from Richard Frantiec to improve the handling.

I would not get camera myself as I would rather go for something like OM-D. But if Ricoh would make a 1" sensor compact with a decent zoom in a body similar to GRD I would be all over it.
