How canon high end compact camera lines will evolve

Hi everyone.
This is a pure speculative threat.
I am really curious about how canon top compact camera lines will evolve.
In 2008 there was just the G series.

September 2009 was launched the S90 , mainly in response to panasonic LX3

At the end of that year there were 2 prosumer camera lines :

The G series and the S series.

In 2012 the Canon G1X was launched .Much bigger sensor.

Sony launched the RX100 with much bigger sensor than the sensor in the S line or panasonic LX line.

How will canon respond ?

1 - When it does come to the S Series

Canon will keep the S Series with the same sized sensor ? ( 1/ 1.7 )

Canon will follow Sony and will place a rx 100 sensor size in the S Series making a S series on steroids ?

2 - When it does come to the G10 / G11 / G12 line .
Will it continue to have a 1/ 1.7 sensor ?

Does this line still make sense given the fact that RX100 is smaller and has a larger sensor ?

3- When it does come to the G1X line .

Canon will launch the G2X ? Or will it drop the line ?

Given the fact that RX 100 was launched does the R1X line still make sense ?

What is your opinion ?
