Are there any actual businessmen or businesswomen in the conversation?

I don't see what all this discussion of personal views has to do with the original story.

Fact is that at least 21 states outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation. Public businesses cannot deny services to protected classes, they can only deny services if the individual(s) is violating something OTHER THAN what has them in their protected class. You cannot refuse to serve a gay because they are gay but you can refuse service if they are naked and you require all patrons to be clothed. Its a business, not your personal statement. If you want to make a statement, take your profits from that paying gay customer and give it to an elected official that supports your views, buy a billboard and express your views, or give it to the church that supports your views.

Again, you can run a business or you can serve only those you like... but you can't do both and stay in business.
