Nextgen Sony sensor technology will it make into D900?

http://www.dpreview.com/news/2012/08/20/Sony-Stacked-CMOS-sensors-use-RGBW-clear-pixels-to-offer-low-light-performance-and-HDR-movies

Wow, this technological improvement will cement Sony as the undisputed leader in chip making.

I wonder if it will be ready when its time for a D900?

A clear pixel mixed in with RGB in the colour matrix lens seems to double QE on some Kodak sensors. Kodak came out with it first with their True Sense CCD sensors.

Astrophotography has been using this approach for years and years in colour filtered imaging. You take a clear filtered image first to get details and then RGB filtered images to add the colour. Bayer matrixes are RGGB so green is dominant.

This chip may also reduce colour moire.

Greg.
