How to see the date by the clock in Win7.

I just discovered something that might be helpful to other Win7 users.

I have my taskbar vertically on the right of the screen since my monitor is in the 16:10 aspect ratio and I want more room vertically for my applications. Till today, I've only been seeing the time in the system tray.

Today I widened the taskbar by dragging the left side toward the left and lo and behold, the date appeared. The default width of the vertical taskbar was just not wide enough to display the date in the 8/18/2012 format.

So if you have your taskbar on the left or right side of the screen and there's no date, try widening the taskbar by hovering over the inner edge to get the double headed arrow and then drag the taskbar wider.

In case it makes a difference, I'm using the Windows Classic UI instead of Win7's Aero UI.
