You ARE wrong.... his interpretations were to achieve EXACTLY the visualization not to create different versions of a shot... but again it's better if you read his books instead of opening a new discussion.

Perhaps a few facts could help constrain the limits of this sub-thread. Ansel Adams quite famously created several different interpretations of his iconic "Moonrise over Hernandez" over the years. He tended towards darker versions as he got older. I saw a number of them together in one room at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.
