I dunno....I find with CS6 that there are so many interpretations that can now be achieved directly in the raw convertor. I can specifically brush in effects where I please. The algorithms are totally different than what was in previous ACR.

I agree. The question at hand is what can be done with C1 Pro 6?

Great detail from the D800E for sure when I was pixel peeping.

Not bad for an old Nikon AF-S 17-35mm f/2.8D, aye? Some will tell you this lens is too outdated for the D800E.

Just my three cents. (Used to be two cents.....but you know....inflation)

I can only get dos centavos for mine.

The idea behind photography is not to create a non existing light source that will counter lit the shadows that the existing source (the sun in our case) provides. It's against the idea of photography to do this... It would be different for a front lit scene where the developer tunes the light of the light source and different in a back lit scene as this one....

The human eye does not perceive the tree trunk as black. It is fully lit with detail texture and color. It is the failure of photographic technologies that renders it black.
