Two 32 GB cards, or one 64 GB card?

My question is how often do CF cards fail? I'm considering either the Lexar or Sandisk brand.

Some folks say two smaller cards are better than one larger card. Because if the larger card fails, all the photos may be lost. Or to take it a step further, perhaps use a handful of smaller cards.

Since I shoot all day events (some times using burst mode), I can fill up a 32 GB card before the day is over. For me a 64 GB card would be convenient, I would not have to swap cards during an event - especially if it means missing some action.

Money wise, two 32 GB Lexar cards would save me 40 bucks over one 64 GB card.

Ok, do I need to be concerned with card failures?
