Honestly, have no idea what a mirrorless system is.
What is a mirrorless system:
A system of lenses and bodies that doesn't have a mirror in the middle but retains the same large sensor that your DSLR has.
Examples include the Sony NEX, the Panasonic/Olympus Micro Four Thirds (MFT)
system, and the coming Canon EOS M, and actually the classic Leica M series.
You left out the key disadvantage - which is that the dslr's optical viewfinder is real-time and better for action photography - and I believe it also has faster autofocus.
There is a trade-off to mirrorless. For some people it's great; for me, well, it would be of little use, even if it is smaller... because for one thing I don't WANT smaller! And I enjoy having all the controls manageable and convenient right on the body of my Rebel.
