Suggestion for upgrade lightning stuff (actual Metz 76-MZ5)
Hi everybody, actually I have a Metz 76-MZ5 and a Canon 430EX. The problem is that I want something better
Metz 76 PROS & CONS:
+ Big reflector, bigger than many other commercial flash unit
+ Decentralized flash for better quality of light
+ secondary reflector for fill in when using the primary as bounce on the wall
Proprietary battery very very old and expensive
ETTL not always reliable
Automatic mode overexposes quite a bit
So I was wondering if buying a Canon 580 II will do the job, adding a flash bracket and a flash bounce or a softbox?
Another idea, what do you think about Quantum Flashes? I heard that they aren't so reliable speaking about ETTL exposure...
In the end, what about buying Metz 76-23?
