Milky Way time lapse with D800E with soundtrack

I like the internal time lapse function on the D800E.

I took this one last night.

Nikon 14-24mm lens at F2.8, 30 seconds, 10 second delays, mirror lockup, F2.8 ISO6400, daylight white balance, noise reductions all off, 4:30 duration, image review off (to save battery).

I also used a Mieke grip with a Nikon battery in it. I had plenty of battery life left this morning after this.

I wrapped a piece of insulation around the lens held on with a rubber band to delay the onset of dew. It seemed to work well. Lens was dewy in the morning but that must have been after this finished.

I also got some heat pads from the chemist to use to put under the insulation to prevent dew. I'll use one of those next time.

View NX2,Photoshop CS6, Roland Cakewalk for the sound track. I had to pull the reds back a fair bit as the background tended to be too red.

The soundtrack is my work and I wrote and recorded that a few years back.
