Going 5D3 definitely-Nightskyphotography ISO 6400, likely?

Hi, I am definitely going 5D3. Currently shooting a 30D. Last night I did nightskyphotography and perseides and tried to do it 600 rule (apprx. 25 sec) ISO 800-1600. Crescent moon very low on the horizon. Lens 10-22 3.5/4.5 But quality noisewise could be better. Concerning noise...what are your experiences? I will use a 28 f2.8 while saving up for a WA. Are ISO 6400 likely, or even 12800? Thanks for any help.
