Flare on 50 Asph Summilux
I wonder if anyone else has noticed a tendency for flare on the 50 Asph Summilux.
Sun just out of frame, it can be quite severe with a purple tinge on my M9, removing my protective B+W filter makes little difference. The hood on the lux is pretty minimal and this may be the culprit?
Out of interest I put my recent 28 Summicron on and took some shots from a similar viewpoint, with the sun out of frame. The angle of view is so different that it is a crazy comparison but interesting, result very little flare, removing the large hood on the 28 mades little difference.
Both shots were around f8.
In other respects the Lux is excellent. Appreciate any comments, not a disaster but a little surprising.
