If so, it is likely that the camera is trying to establish a focus lock before taking the picture.

If you switch to shutter priority, the camera will take the picture as soon as you press the shutter, but it may result in pictures being taken out of focus.

Otherwise, half press the shutter and track the object until focus is established, then press all the way to capture the image.

thank u for answering so quickly,my camera is indeed set to focus priority release mode,but i have tried half pressing and then releasing the shutter,but its no good but i will definitely try changing the release mode.thanks anyway
