Newbie Question re Canon 1D batteries

I have recently purchased an old Canon 1Ds in pristine condition.

Anyway, one of it's (many) irritations is the poor battery life.

The battery it takes is the Nickel Metal Hydride NP-E3 battery, which doesn't give that much life.

I have been looking and can't find anywhere either (1) a replacement NiMH battery of higher capacity (the standard capacity is 1650mAh, and I am hoping for something in the 2000 mAh region) or (2), and this might be preferrable, a replacement Lithium Ion battery of much higher capacity (perhaps circa. 2200 mAh).

I don't usually buy third-party batteries for my gear, but the stock battery just isn't providing the length of service I would like.

Does anyone out there know of a very good brand of battery that would meet my requirements? By the way, I am not price sensitive as peformance and reliability are my main concerns.

Thanks in advance.
