Kayaking with the E-M5 and 12-50 Kit Lens

I was finally able to try my E-M5 out while kayaking. It was jsut my wife and I out on the outing. The small river was all flat-water. I had the camera in a Pelican 1200 box when not being used and the box on the floor of the kayak between my legs. IT was easy to get the camera out and use. The camera was able to handle the extreme dynamic range under the shaded trees and the bright sun.

Photo 5 (The Blue River that we were on empties into the much bigger Ohio River, which is where we turned around and paddle back):

Photo 6 (I picked up a hich hiker on my water bottle. The "macro" capability of the 12-50 lens came in really handy):

Photo 9 (Once banck to land we went to the nearby Overlook Restaurant for dinner. The restaurant has a great view of the Ohio River and were we were just kayaking):

I was very pleased with how the E-M5 and the12-50 kit lens worked for tis kakak trip.
