Realistically, to outline all of the features and advantages of LR4 over photoshop for a photographer is a major undertaking. There is a broad range of resources on the internet to give you this information. Perhaps look at some of Reichmanns tutes on Luminous Landscape : if you are considering changing, then it would be worth to you the cost of the tutes and the time to watch them

You can do most of what you need to do in LR, and some tasks are considerably easier, eg the truncated masking equivalent that LR4 offers. Reichmanns videos outline this very nicely

I used PS for about ten years, then shifted to (largely) relying on LR about two years ago. Much better option IMO for a photographer
