Hi joeybob,

I agree with you on the 18-200, not perfect for low light. I will use Tamron where 2.8 is needed, but in this instance 5.6 should have been fine with an SB-800 but I couldn't get it to focus at all.

I have checked the system menu and af assist illuminator is switched to ON. I have just gone into a dark room, as it still won't fire, just keeps on hunting. What else am I missing?
