Oly 75 1.8 Why?

It sound really strange to me that the new Olympus 75 is considered by most as a portrait lens. Portrait lens is something like 45 1.8.
The 75 is more an equivalence of a 135 mm on a ff format.

This focal lenght was no longer in production from most of the manufacturers as considered almost useless.

It was a good compromise focal lenght in the 70'es and 80'es but discontinued after zoom appareance in the market.
And why do we need it now?
Really I do not understand for what real purpose?
Is it justified to pay for it around 1000 Euro's?
150 mm 3,6 fixed equivalent focal length for that price?
Don't you believe this is mainly a good commercial operation from Olympus?
Uour thoughts, please.
