I found auto-ISO inaccurate, not by a lot, but it consistently underexposed, ever so slightly in many cases. There are many circumstances where auto-ISO can be helpful, for example when tracking a fast moving subject as it moves across an unevenly lit background.

Just my opinion, but I would go into the AWB settings, where you see the color scale, and move the dot 4-5 places directly left, I believe to B5. I found that this small adjustment reduced the yellow hue just enough to make images appear like my D700.
