I think the peaking in AF-A won't help: You just have to use AF-C, follow as good as possible and just keep pressing the shutter.
I would only use peaking in case you prefocussed.

AF-A works fine with moving targets - at least it does for me. The peaking can tell you when to press the shutter if nothing else. It's certainly worth a try when shooting cyclists.
