For every example you mention here, I could name dozens with the opposite outcome.

Ricoh's top management must be doing some deep thinking with what they are really up to with the acquisition of Pentax imaging - and they have a lot of work carved out ... developing sustainable product lines, securing and expanding sales channels, making a solid return on investment at the end of the day.

All such efforts ... on behalf of another company's brand? I just don't see it happening.
