Better lenses don't need to break the bank!

I recommend the user gets a nice 35mm f1.8DX. Cheap lens, good performance, especially for the money, and it sits right in the range where the OP takes most of his pictures. And he won't have to trade in any equipement.

You will find that both your lenses will do just fine. The 18-105 is an excellent kit lens, especially at f5.6 or f8.

It's your call, but I would go with the D7000.

Thanks, most people are suggesting the lens buy over the upgraded body

Because as most review sites say, the D7000 isn't much better than your D90 and people think your money would be better spent on decent lenses.... which is where you're lacking.
