My apologies, I thought I explained where the oversharpening is coming from. In case I wasn't clear, allow me to express it again;

Using PS6
Unsharp mask
Resize for web
Bicubic sharpening

There isn't any hard lighting on the photo. It was shot with a Larson 4x6 softbox about four feet above the models eye. I understand you wanting to point the finger at something but if you must, it's the sharpening of PS6.

So sorry, no jpg, lightroom or anything like that.

Yes, some of the issue is the hard lighting, some of it is just your camera picking up detail in the little hairs on her face, but I think there is some over-sharpening happening here, either in camera (jpeg) or during your raw conversion (lightroom clarity settings or equivalent in aperture)
