Ansel Adams was known to be a master not just on the camera, but on the lab. Since we don't use chemical labs any more, our only resource is post processing. You would never take a picture with the same amount of depth, detail, contrast and overall density like a AA image, straight out of the camera. You'll need to resemble his shooting style, and also his lab skills.
