cool lens, it's just inexpensive because they made so many; I love mine

I don't have any problems using it, do everything on the lens in manual – I use in aperture mode or manual on the camera, sometimes you might want an EV compensation, depending how it meters on your camera.

The tin foil is if yu want catch in focus to work and the non-spot metering

I don't what adapter you are using; I have the pentax one and I just press a sort of tab thing to release it
