I take a step back to review our points of view and comments.

From first test pictures to latest ones, I can see one issue that differentiate Knallberto point of view against other people opinion (including me) about shoot in darkness with the shoe.

He is doing close photo (almost macro situation), then the Focus assist light beam is enough to allow the camera get focus and even give him a clue to compose.

I think me and other guys are talking on framing distance objects, may be objects about 3 or 5 meters, where Focus assist beam can't be seen and is useless for the AF to lock.

Any way, it is always interesting to have different points of view, we just need more to consider all the variables on the table.
