If you're OK with that, then there's nothing wrong with that kit.

If you want conventional wide-angle FOV on an APS-C, you'll need to get down to around 18 - 24mm at the wide end, like an 18-55 zoom

I'd agree, but id suggest even wider. 10-22 lives on my camera most of the time. Then again I'm not looking for super reach. If wildlife is in your bucket of things you want to capture then you should definitely consider 70-300 or 100-400 L
