Hey, thanks for the info. These were definitely over 1/1000. Typically 1/2000 - 1/3500 and sometimes 1/4000.

Curious how many others have had (or may have) this issue. Would be something for folks to try as it is not all that common a set of conditions.

One other question, how quick was the turn around for the replacement? Must admit I have always had good experiences with Oly service.

I had that problem anytime I was outdoors and the shutter speed was faster than 1/1000. Sometimes the frame was dark (right after an normal one), other times is was black (again, in betwen 2 normally exposed ones). I return that E-M5 and got a new one. So far no issues.
