I've looked at a lot of RX100 photos and all of the available LX7 samples. To me, the LX7 has a much better lens, which is very good even at full wide, corner-to-corner, edge-to-edge. If you have to stop the RX100 lens down to eliminate optical shortcomings, then the RX100 is more like an f/2.8 lens. Based on the excellent LX7 sample shots at IR, I would not hesitate to use the lens wide open, at full wide angle.
