D800E hits the rockpile: Banff

Banff/Jasper gets my vote for the most beautiful place on the planet.
I have now been four times and can't wait to return.

Only one day was marred by excessive sunshine.
Lots of wildlife. Great hikes. Thick, lush green forests that go on forever.

Mesmerizing glacial blue lakes. Waterfalls. Rivers. Slot canyons. Starbucks. I love it!
It fills a person with joy to see such beauty.

And this despite United Airlines first cancelling my flight, then losing my suitcase! (Where my tripod resided.)

A photographer in Banff without a tripod??? Nightmare. Fortunately, I was able to borrow one for a day until mine belatedly arrived.

The D800E is my favorite camera of all time. Great image quality and AF. A joy to use.

I'd like to share more, but I really have to go.

D800E + 24-70 zoom + tripod, ISO 100, f8 for the landscapes.
500 f4 VR for the animaux sauvages.
