Agree with the above. The partial exposure is a sure sign that the shutter has gone. 75000 actuations could be considered very high for a camera that may have been treated quite roughly. If this wasn't mentioned on the ebay ad, i would seek redress with the seller and get a refund. Or, go through ebay as the item was listed incorrectly.

Replacing the shutter is not a major job but could be costly depending where you are in the world! Send it to Canon if you are keeping, or take it to reputable repairer...
