Carbon Fiber vs Aluminium travel tripod
Sure, I'd love shave 1.2+ lbs from a tripod and make it carbon fiber!
Question: do carbon fiber tripods take use and abuse as well as aluminumn? E.g., creeks, beaches, rocks, dogs, drops, hot trunks, etc?
I would think that it would warp and split, but I have no experience with one.
Anyone with comments either way? (e.g., "I beat a Grizzly to death with my Benro carbon fiber and still took a 3 hour exposure that night. it was fine". Or, "I put it on the beach and the sand split the legs, now i have a carbon fiber broom...")
