Auto HDR may be the least needed for some people. However, Sony uses it in some pretty interesting ways, which I would definitely miss now that I'm used to them. Specifically the hand-held twilight mode is excellent. It uses HDR not just in the typical way, but as a noise reduction method, using the multiple copies to identify and remove noise from the image. Now, that may not be as critical on the E-M5 which has better iso performance. But given the results, I would hope it's on the Olympus radar.
