RAW is often a pain.

I put the workflow in place to make RAW no pain at all, and now would not use anything else with my LX5. It really is easy. Sillypix, FastStone (for making batch thumbnails) and Photoshop. That's all.

Sure, DXO or LR may give the occasional better post-processing, but LX5 with a simple RAW workflow is superb, and MUCH better than JPG (fewer blown highlights, for a start).

ps: RX100 RAW worflow is essentially the same, but using Sony's free "Data Converter," which is similar to Sillypix. And RX100 RAW does look nice No JPG smearing worries there
