Sojourn in Italy--How I used my prime kit: 15, 21, 40, 70mm

I recently returned from a holiday in Italy. I took my K-x along with only four prime lenses: 15mm, 21mm, 40mm, 70mm. I took a look at my lens usage stats in LR and out of 836 saved shots here is how it broke down:

DA15mm- 101 shots
DA21mm- 279 "
DA40mm- 220 "
DA70mm- 156 "

As I suspected, the 21 was the most useful for general purpose vacation shooting--streets and landscapes. I just got the 15mm a few days before the trip and was trying to get a feel for where it could come in handy. It was definitely useful in small old squares and inside churches, but overall felt like it was designed for more special shooting situations. The 70 got more use than I thought it would. It came in handy for picking out interesting parts of landscapes and faces in the crowds in the cities.

I am still processing the pics and have a long way to go, but below is one processed shot (LR + Nik CEP 4) for each of the four primes:

DA15mm (Milano-Cimiterio Monumentale)

DA21mm (Firenze- Baptistry & Duomo)

DA40mm (Firenze- Parade for the Calcio Storico)

DA70mm (Near Greve in Chianti)
