The FL-50 is there because...

On a body like the E-5, it balances well enough not to take it off between times you need it. It also shows the staying power of the Manfrotto pan-head. As for the E-510, I'll never give it up. While in its old age I'm not happy with how often my right palm pops the card door open at all the wrong times, well-set and patiently used, the 510 and the 50/2 really do sing together, and has me considering the 35/1.5 as my light-weight, HQ carry around combo for when the E-5 and the HG lenses are just overkill.

As an aside here, unlike the 5, the 510 just goes upside down on the shoulder with the FL-50, doubly so with the 12-60.
