Do you have any opinion, on what's been released so far, about the new 45-150? In general (though there are exceptions), a shorter zoom range indicates the possibility of better optics. It would also be less overlap between that and the 100-300 if I eventually go for a really long zoom as well. But IQ will be the major determinant so maybe I'd better wait for tests on the 45-150 before making a decision.

G5 appears as a nice practical upgrade to any previous MFT cameras.

So far, I have not seen any serious reviews of Panasonic 45-150mm, but it is on my short list of the possible future purchases --together with future Panasonic 35-100mm f/2.8 (I'm afraid that one would be expensive). The Panasonic 45-150mm main benefit is its compact size, while 35-100mm would suppose to excel in imaging qualities besides offering the constant bright f/2.8 aperture. I would also add my vote to some bright prime lens, either Panasonic 20mm f/1.7, or Leica 25mm f/1.4, or Olympus 45mm f/1.8.
