IT worked.

It really worked out and my lenses are back on line.

It turns out, you need to really shake the camera and give it a whack for the lens to click into position. the audible click means nothing. The clutch on the camera ring does not appear to engage easily on the electronic lenses - possibly because the female port on the lenses are smaller than the nokton.

This still does not bode well. If the contacts are iffy this early, I am not holding my breath for the future. I need to be able to change lenses from time to time.
