24-105 or 24-70? Advice/guidance needed please...

I've shot one frame...

I've shot one frame... with a 5D III, at ISO 6400, and I was astounded at the quality.

Buy the stabilized 24-105 and use the stabilization in low light, and/or increase the ISO.

And take advantage of the longer range.

The above makes sense, until you start thinking of other options.

It may end with a coin toss.

I spent an hour last night reading reviews and doing calculations, except os APS-C, for portraits

The big player in my numbers is the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 stabilized, which gives on a 1.6 camera the same 105 field of view the 24-105 gives on yours, but a stop faster.

If I had a 5D-III and the budget I'd probaby buy the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 stabilized and the Canon 100 new stabilized macro.
